As the chaotic snow fell across London, I seized the chance to snatch up tickets to Matthew Bourne's Sleeping beauty. Watching one of his ballets has always been a keen desire and his reputation prevails. The performance was a buzzing and fresh interpretation of Sleeping Beauty, gliding you though 100 years. It was fascinating to see the change in costume and set as well as the dance choreography across time.
Nevertheless, as Bourne illustrates the deep and passionate love story, there is a sense of comedy to the performance, keeping it light hearted and the audience transfixed.
THANK THE SNOW, for ensuring that i got to see such a performance... next year i'll be buying a ticket as soon as they come on sale!
xoxo
